19 Months Old

Oh, Addison.

I chose this photo to sum up your 19th month because it's truly who you are right now.  Whispy dark blonde hair with subtle natural curl, soft smooshy arms, legs, cheeks, and fingers, and never looking at the camera because you're ALWAYS moving.

You are talking so much now.  The first thing you say when you wake up in the morning is "where sissy!?"  Other frequently heard things are:

Wah Dow!? (want down)
Moh?! (more)
Gih! (again)
Steh!! (stuck)
Up!
Apple
Nana (banana)
Dee (cheese)
Appa Doo (apple juice)
Dow-uh (towel)
Ewwo (hello)
Daddy
Mommy
Buppy (bucky/puppy)
Missy
OH NO!  This is your most frequently used phrase.  All day long.  OH NO!  Where Buppy?  OH NO!  Where go?  OH NO!  Where sissy?  OH NO!  Booboos! (poo poo).  Yep, you already tell us when you need to be changed!

You're hilarious.  Constantly moving.  Making funny faces.  Getting into everything you shouldn't.  Putting EVERYTHING in your mouth.  And I'm not talking about food.  I had hoped you would have outgrown the mouthy phase by now (because choking is my #1 fear as a mother!!) but alas, you haven't.  If it doesn't belong in your mouth, it goes in.  Sticks, grass, hair, random pieces of paper, toys, hair bows, shoes, your clothes, sand, dog toys, you get the idea...

Good thing you're cute.

Girl, you wear me out.  While your sister is calmly playing with toys in the next room, you are trying to see how many times you can push the laundry basket down the hallway, or trying to lick every shoe in the shoe pile, or pushing every.single.button you can find in the whole.entire.house.  And as soon as I catch you doing something you shouldn't you squeal and start running away from me!!  Little Stinker.

Did I mention how cute you are?

Perhaps all your busyness is the reason you're still a rockstar sleeper.  2+ hour naps and 12+ hours at night.  Praise Jesus.

Your eating is hit or miss.  Some days you don't want to eat anything and other days you don't stop eating.  You've discovered guacamole this month and, well, I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves...

You and your sister have been enjoying lots of "pop pops" this month too.  Spring is here!

mess.

But as big of a challenge as you are, I just love you that much more.  You are sweet, loving, and a mama's girl.  You always want me to hold you.  You bring daddy and I so much joy.  We are constantly laughing and smiling at your silliness and just standing in awe at how different you are than Hailey.  Even so, you try to do everything that she does.  You guys are best buddies.

Now for the recent fun stuff!

Trip to Chicago to visit Aunt Leslie and Uncle David!

Road trip snooze!

Uncle David trying out the baby carrier!
HUGE slide!

Wheeeeeee!

The next weekend was mommy's birthday!

Play date at the Discovery Room at the zoo

Up to no good.

Miscellaneous Cuteness!
A very rare moment I caught you playing with actual toys.

Yeah... I'm afraid to go checkout too....

Love you bunches, Sweet Girl!

18 Months Old

Happy Half Birthday, Sweet Girl!

It's really hard for me to believe that it's been a year already since we had a roly poly little 6 month old... that looked a little something like this..

And this...

You've come a long way, baby!

But you are just as sweet and snuggly now as you were then, and now you are also funny, talkative, curious, and FAST!

I still don't have a solid list of the words you are saying, but a few of your frequently used words these days are:

Hi
Byebye
Dada
Mommy
Mama
Sis sis
Buppy (Bucky)
Dog dog
Duh (duck)
Ball
Booh (book)
Moh!? (more)
Ah Gah (all gone/all done)
Gee gee (cookie)
Ga ga (cracker)
Bee bee (baby)
Dow (down)
Nah nah (night night)
Ah voo (I love you)
Whassiss (what's this)
Whassat (what's that)
Where go?
Yes
Yeah
No
DEBBIE!

Yep, Debbie.  Still not totally sure what it means, but it has to do with food & drink.  You yell DEBBIE when you're pulling on the fridge handles for a drink or pointing up at the counter top where there is likely some food you want to eat.  It's become a funny joke around here because you're basically screaming DEBBIE all day long :) And for the record, we don't know even know anyone named Debbie!

You had your second Easter this month, and you were cute as can be.  You were happy as a clam just walking around with your basket!

Mommy started getting creative with your hair this month, too.  I'm a sucker for sweet little piggies and little sprouts on top :)

Mom get out of my way I can't see the TV!
You're still an amazing sleeper, and we couldn't be happier about that.  You nap once a day for about 2 hours (roughly 12-2pm).  You go to bed around 7:30pm and wake up around 6:30am.  Like clockwork :)

I will still say that you are a good eater, but you are eating less than you used to.  You either get fuller quicker or you just get bored with eating and want to do something else.  Typical meals are: oatmeal or jelly bread with fruit (bananas, pears, berries, or kiwi) for breakfast, yogurt or green smoothie, crackers with pb, and fruit for lunch, and honestly you're pretty good at eating whatever we're eating for dinner.  You're good with rice, pasta, most veggies (you do not like carrots), pizza, beans, tortillas, cheese, chicken, ravioli .... anything really.  It's fantastic.  Keeping in mind that Hailey is nearly 4 and we still have to coach her through each meal of plain, raw, boring food.  Ugh!

You love your big sister.  You always have to do what she is doing. You are best buddies and it's so sweet to watch.  I love watching you play with her toys when she is not around.  You play with them the exact same way she does :)

You love to sit next to her and watch "kid shows"

How did sissy do this!?

A few more random photos & moments from this month...

You loved playing in the sand at Miss Lindsay's house

Trying on your new swimming suit!
Swinging at grandma & grandpa's
Typical morning!
Typical reaction to not getting your way :)
Playing outside at Bree's birthday party
And last but not least, my favorite set of photos from this month.  You were being so cute feeding me your pretzels and just being sweet.  Daddy and I love you so much!

Happy Half Birthday, Angel!
